Windsor :
A small town that may be the birthplace of ice hockey, also the birthplace of Thomas Chandler Haliburton who created the literary character of 'San Slick' (c.1835), and the location of the Fort Edward National Historic Site of Canada which is the last surviving military blockhouse fortification in Nova Scotia and the oldest such original fortification in Canada.

Grand Pré is famous for being the site were the British deported Acadians from 1755 to 1763. It is now a National Historic Site. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's 1847 poem 'Evangeline : A Tale of Acadie' tells of the Deportation and is inspirational to Acadians.
Wolfville :
A small university town with many heritage homes.
